Snowshoe Mountain Resort, WV is the largest ski resort in the Mid-Atlantic & Southeast. Snowshoe was ranked the #1 Winter Resort in the Southeast for 2006-11 by a Ski Magazine reader survey. Snowshoe Mountain, WV is ranked #19 in the US by Ski magazine. With 1,500 feet of vertical drop, 180" of average annual snowfall, and 60 trails, Snowshoe Mountain is the place to carve it up for the winter.
Silvercreek is another ski resort within Snowshoe for the same lift ticket. It offers wider slopes, more learning terrain, night skiing and the tubing hill.
Taking some time off the slopes? Snowshoe has other activities to keep you occupied. There is snowmobiling, snowcat tours, check out the Backcountry Hut for customized dinner. Split Rock pools offers an indoor/outdoor pool all year round and hot tubs.
There are many shops to find that special gift. Restaurants that offer breakfast, pizza, pasta, steak, burgers and even wild game. The nightlife is great with live bands and dancing. Even Starbucks has made it to the Snowshoe Mountain village.
I have access to similar units at Snowshoe Mountain Summit Condos for additional units to accomodate larger groups; and also a Highland House, Logger's Run, and Top of the World-if I'm not available.
